Established in 1996, Wayout was set up to fill a void in the market for quality photoluminescent, or ‘glow in the dark’ products and has since become a worldwide leader in the industry. We have been trusted with the design, manufacture and supply of luminous products to some of Australia’s largest institutions.
Our expertise extends to both luminous and non-luminous safety signs and products, as well as full scale evacuation systems. As a family run business with all products manufactured locally, we have the flexibility and experience to deliver products on time and specifically tailored to suit the individual client needs.
Though we have been continually trusted to carry out works for some of the nation’s largest projects, we are equally happy to supply businesses with our products in small quantities. Whilst we continue to develop our products to keep up with industry and legislative requirements, we can always work with clients to come up with new ideas using our technology to achieve luminescence with just about anything.
Way Out is currently taking orders for new BCA compliant exit signs. The standard Running man, Left Arrow, Right Arrow signs are available in 24m viewing distance (dimension 450mm x 240mm).
We are moving out old stock to make way for the new BCA Compliant Signs.

Oct 2014 – ISO 9001 Certification
Over the last 9 months Way Out Evacuation Systems has been working closely with Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance to ensure that their internal quality management systems and processes are compliant with the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 standards. As of 6th October, 2014 Way Out was issued with the certificate of approval. This is an important milestone as it allows Way Out to be included on global supply chains for the prime contractors working in defence as well as other major industry projects (e.g. mining, gas and transportation) which require this level of accreditation.
A range of new products based on white luminescence are currently being developed and trialled. These include grab rails, mining helmets and an off road vehicle!!
This project was completed by D&M Spray painting using their robotic paint system and Way Out’s proprietary white luminous pigment. Additionally, the grab rails are currently being trialled by St.Vincents Hospital.
